The MAX300-CAT is a high-sensitivity, quantitative gas analyzer for catalysis, reaction monitoring, and environmental research.

This powerful quadrupole system performs high precision quantitative analysis of every component in a gas or vapor mixture, and can be equipped for the fully-automated sampling of 61+ gas channels.

With the ability to track concentration changes from ppb levels to 100% and continuous data updates in seconds, the MAX300-CAT provides a compact, flexible platform optimized for gas reaction studies in catalysis, bioreactor control, process development, and environmental analysis.

The Questor5 quantitative analysis software is easy to use, and can instantly calculate derived values from acquired data. The inclusion of a wide range of communication protocols allows for seamless integration with benchtop reactors, thermal analyzers, or other lab equipment.

The MAX300-CAT joins the ultra-sensitive MAX300-LG benchtop series, and the high-performance Veraspec line to provide a full range of gas analyzer solutions for laboratory and research applications.

Multi Gas Analyzer MGT with Thermal Desorption, Massrange 1 – 300 amu , 6 mm rod systems
The analysis of gases being emitted from heated samples by desorption or decomposition is of great technical interest, for example in quality control of industrial processes, in materials analysis or in research. Frequently, Thermogravimetrical Analysis (TGA) is applied. Hereby the mass change as a function of temperature and time is measured. To avoid oxidation processes closed housings are required which are flushed by inert gases like N2 or Ar.
To gain more information beside the mass changes, TGAs are quite often combined with mass spectrometers or   Fourier Infrared Transform Spectrometry (FTIR). The use of a discrete stand-alone device with thermal desorption like MGT combines TGA and mass spectrometry. Emitted gases are analyzed high efficiently and quantitatively. The modern in-line analysis software calculates mass losses in combination with the chemical species very precisely.
The measurements are performed completely automatically. After positioning of the sample the system pumps down until the required testport pressure is reached. The user only has to choose the gas species to be investigated, minimal and maximal temperature as well as the temperature ramp. The maximal temperature is 1.800 °C, the maximal temperature ramp ist 50 K/sec. After the measurement the device stands by in a condition choosen by the user. The MAX300-LG Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometer (MIMS)
is a fully automated Quantitative Gas Analyzer with a temperature controlled Membrane Introduction Inlet for fast and repeatable analysis of gases and dissolved gases in liquids at the parts-per-trillion level.
Quantitative Gas Analysis, performed with precision, accuracy and repeatability, demands an analyzer with exceptional stability & repeatability characteristics coupled with an inlet system and analysis methods that can handle routine calibrations and background gas subtractions. The MAX300-LG Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometer delivers all this, plus the ability to significantly extend the detection range for many compounds down to the ppt level via enrichment through the semi-permeable membrane. Both gases and dissolved gases in liquids may be analysed.

Atmospheric Pressure Ionization Mass Spectrometry (APIMS) has developed into a critical tool for pure gas analysis, providing part-per-trillion (ppt) level detection of certain impurities in pure gases.
For other impurities which are inaccessible by APIMS, high sensitivity electron impact ionization (EI) mass spectrometry can be used to supplement the analysis. In other cases, membrane introduction mass spectrometry (MIMS) with the EI source can provide sub part-per-billion (ppb) detection limits for some components. VeraSpec Trace has the unique capability to combine these techniques in a single instrument. Each of the x3 VeraSpec Trace configurations is also available with MS/MS detector for accurate mass identification.
